It's not just the names of head boys and head girls that are noted on school honour boards these days.

and encouragement through acknowledgement using honour boards.

There are no limitations to shape, size or colour of the honour board that you can have.
You can have any size, any shape, font style, framing or colour that you would like.

Archbishop Lanfranc
Academy,
Triptych Honours Board

Large honours board made for Bishop Challoner Catholic School to celebrate students obtaining Oxbridge places.
You may ask, is it Perspex (acrylic) or glass?
In this case it is silica acrylic which imitates the look of glass very effectively and is considered to be safer, especially in a school environment.
This Perspex acrylic awards honours board is presented as a triptych, the central panel measures 726mm x 1180mm x 10mm thick, the side panels are 410mm wide x 1100mm high. All three are fixed to the wall with 25mm diameter, solid brass fixings with a polished chrome finish.

Bedford Free School,
Head Pupils
Light Oak Honours Board

Magnetic interchangeable house championship oak honour boards.
This honours board for head pupils at Bedford Free School measures 1200mm high X 900mm wide X 19mm thick.
It is finished in a light oak colour with a darker contrasting edge and a purple border line to match school colours.
Mention, in conversation, an oak honours board and your listener will probably assume that it will be dark in colour, perhaps with gold lettering and all things considered, rather sombre but it doesn't have to be like that. Oak is naturally quite light in colour and can be stained to many shades before it becomes dark. With an edge or border colour in a contrasting tone and a borderline reflecting school colours you can produce an oak board that has a vibrant, contemporary look and feel that reflects the progressive attitudes of your school, whilst still giving a respectful nod to past traditions.
