Large oak honours board listing makers of centuries.
This board lists centuries scored by first eleven team.
Three oak veneered shaped boards with scalloped top edge corners measuring 1830mm high X 1070mm wide X 19mm thick.

The three include a Colt of the Year honours board, another for centuries and another reflecting the club's confidence lists the bowlers who take six or more wickets in an innings.

The board shown here is one of a series of four to celebrate the best of the club's cricketers over the last four complete decades beginning with the 1980's. Each honours board measured 450mm high X 300mm wide X 13mm thick and has gold border and horizontal lines with black lettering. Title lines are textured Florentine gold with black outlines.
The club could have had boards twice the size for the same price but wall space was limited and the plan is to have further honour board when finances permit.

Two ash veneered apex shaped boards measuring 1200mm high X 1100mm wide X 19mm thick.
One of the honours boards is to acknowledge bowlers that have taken five wickets in an innings and the other for batsmen scoring centuries.
The blue borderline reflects club colours.

Acton cricket club presidents board in ash.
Acton Cricket Club have three ash honour boards with a whitewood frame to display the names of club presidents and chairmen, team captains and players of the year.

Ash is a light coloured wood that usually displays an interesting and pronounced grain pattern.
It can also be dyed with a spirit woodstain to add colour as shown in the next boards displayed here

Two Ash Honors Boards with the names of cricketers scoring centuries or taking 5 wickets.
These were produced for Ley's School Cricket Team and lists the players who have scored centuries or made a fifer.

The board is not framed with a separate timber moulding but a framed effect is achieved by staining the edge and a border area with a darker contrasting colour and a 10mm thick gold border line.

Somerset Cricket Club Honours
These are silica acrylic honours boards. Silica acrylic also known as glass effect clear acrylic is produced by manufacturers such as Perspex.
It simulates the appearance of glass uncannily, most people have to touch or tap it to convince them it's not glass.
Panels like this can also be produced using toughened glass which has has many virtues and some drawbacks such as its weight

Club Honours Board

England - Test Players
Somerset Cricket Club ordered four boards, the first displays their competition honours over the years.
A second panel lists the names of overseas test players that have played for Somerset such as Viv Richards,
the third board has the names of England test players and the fourth England ODI and T20 players.
What a lot of famous names so many of which are familiar, particularly if you're getting on a bit and a cricket fan.

The chrome fixing shown here is made from solid brass and then chrome plated,
we also offer a gold plated finish.

These are high quality fixings, cheaper, lightweight fixings are on the market
made from aluminium but we do NOT supply them.
The fixings hold the panel 25mm away from the wall and are available in three diameter sizes;
13mm, 19mm and 25mm.

Seaton Burn Cricket Club Captains Honours Board

Made to measure for Seaton Burn Cricket Club near Newcastle in Northumberland.
Quite a large board, framed in solid oak, measuring 2000mm wide X 1000mm displaying the names of Seaton Burn cricket club 1st and 2nd eleven captains since 1933,
there is space for new names to be added for the next 27 years.
We also produced two smaller boards 1000mm wide to acknowledge the 1st and 2nd eleven players of the year.
